Star Wars: The Big Reveal

Everyone knows that Vader is Luke's father. Here's a little recap in case you have forgotten how the big reveal really went down, "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away":




But what if the Big Reveal had taken place not-so-long ago, in a television studio near you:

MP: Hi, welcome back. I'm Maury Povich and today's special guest is Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith.
DV: Glad to be here today.
MP: Now, Mr. Vader
DV (interupting): Please, call me Lord Vader, or just Lord
MP: Very well, Mr. Vader
DV: LORD Vader
MP: Mr. Vader, no need to get angry
DV: Don't make me force throttle you!
MP: Anyway, we'd like to bring out someone special from your past.
DV (nervously): Padme, uh, what are you doing here? It's been like a year since we broke up.
PA: No, WE didn't break up. YOU broke up with ME.
DV: Baby, I'm sorry, but you gotta understand. It wouldn't have worked out. You were fighting for galactic freedom, and I was aspiring to be the supreme ruler of the universe
PA: Whatever, I'm over it now. That's not why I'm here.
DV: I'll say your over it. You sure didn't waste anytime. A child, even...
PA: What are you talking about? Did Maury tell you why you're on the show?
DV: He told me enough. He told me Obi-Won is the father.
PA: No. You are the father.
DV: NOOOOOOOOOO!
PA: Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
MP: That's right, Mr. Vad- (choking) okay, okay, sorry, LORD Vader, please stop choking me...
DV: Very well
MP: The real topic for today's show is "My Baby-Daddy is an Evil Super-Villain, and I want my Child Support"
DV: Its, its, impossible! You can't prove nothin'
PA: He even looks like you.
DV: Impossible. I won't pay. You can't make me
(audience): Maury! Maury! Maury!

Jaron Being Cute

This is a video I took on a cheap video camera we let Jaron play with now. It was so cute. He loves fish, Itsy Bitsy Spider, I'm a Little Teapot, and the Pickle Dance (from Little Rascals). What's even cuter is the fact that he LOVES watching it...until he accidentally deleted it from the camera.

This is a video of Jaron climbing out of his crib. He did it a couple days to try to avoid going to sleep but then he would just climb out when he was awake so we took off the side to convert it into a toddler bed.

response to video comments and code blue update

so i'm glad that people enjoyed the video i posted and i wish to take some time to respond to some of the comments left. the skunk seen in one of the first scenes was a logo on the tail fin of the plane because it was manufactured by the Lockheed Skunkworks, which, according to this article, is the official alias for lockheed's advanced development programs. the skunk works was responsible for such aircraft as the sr-71, u-2, f-117, and f-22. the sr-71, although not fully stealth, was designed in such a way to reduce its radar signature. the two most well known stealth planes are the stealth fighter (f-117) and the stealth bomber (b-2) both of these planes have full stealth capablities, as well as the recent f-22 raptor. the use of sharp angles and/or smooth curves was to refract the radar signal in direction other than the one it came so as to reduce the size it appears on radar. fully stealth aircraft also have special skin that absorbs the radar and at the same time reduces it's heat signature to make it almost invisible. you can follow the link to learn more and see a list of all the aircraft that have been made or are under development that have stealth characteristics. the song is "learning to fly" by pink floyd.

about code blue. when i first conceived the dialogue, i had no intention of going any further with it. but chris' critique was so positive, plus the fact he said he was excited for the next installment, made me think that maybe i could carry it forward. so the last couple mornings at work i had been ruminating about the story and where it could go from there and i have taken lots of notes on ideas and plot lines i could follow so be excited for the next installment of code blue.

as you can see by the video below, i have finally had success in posting this video off of youtube. this is an homage to one of the coolest planes ever, set to a song by one of the coolest bands ever. as you watch the video, you will see what looks like an orange space suit. that is the flight suit the pilots had to wear because the sr-71 flew at such high altitudes and at such high speeds. enjoy.
